When does water cooling fit your plant better?
A water-cooled chiller does not reject heat straight to the surrounding air; instead it transfers it to a water loop connected to a cooling tower or dry cooler located outside the production space. This approach suits large production halls, spaces with constrained airflow, or installations where several machines share one central cooling system, instead of a row of individual air-cooled units scattered across the plant. A central system also makes it easier to run two separate temperature circuits within the same installation: a colder circuit for molds, where precise temperature control matters most for part quality, and a warmer circuit for hydraulics and other peripheral equipment with less demanding requirements.
As with any cooling solution, capacity is set from the plant's real heat load rather than from the number or power of the machines — an oversized system wastes energy through short cycling, while an undersized one loses temperature at full load.
